Description:
An excellent Adam & Eve charger of Brislington type, painted in tones of yellow, green and blue with a scene from 'The Temptation' the nude figures flanking the tree of knowledge with a serpent coiled around its trunk, blue dash border, pierced for suspension in the firing. Impressive, stirring and stunning.
Circa 1690
Approx - 13.75 inches (350mm) dia.
In good condition with some restoration, areas of glaze and blue dash border missing from rim.
