Description:

A heavy, well potted frog mug from Ball's of Sunderland. Neatly applied lustre trim and monochrome transfers of 'The Sailor Boy' ditty, within a twisted rope border and 'Merrily Round The Capstan'. Inside, a, very impressive, green and brown frog.

Circa 1890

Approx - 5 inches (125mm) tall.

In very good condition save a hairline from rim just into the ditty and an original, underglaze, chip.
