Description:

A small pot from Dixon & Co of Sunderland featuring a hand coloured scene of Tynemouth Haven on one side and the fourth verse from Byron's 'The Tear' on the reverse. Extremely well decorated in pink lustre and hand painted coloured flowers.

 

Circa 1830

 

Approx - 4 inches (100mm) dia x 3 inches (75mm) tall.

 

In good condition throughout save typical, minor paint losses, rim nibbles and discolouration.
