A very early Whieldon Creamware figure of a Pug, naturalistically modelled, seated on a mound base and wearing a collar impressed with circles. Decorated underglaze in the typical palette.

  

Circa 1760

 

Approx 3.25 inches (80mm) tall.

 

In very good condition throughout save nibbles and hairline to base.
