Scott's - Jug

A nice sized jug from Scott's Pottery in Sunderland. Below the spout the iconic overpainted transfer of the Bridge over the River Wear. On one side the 'Sailors Tear' verse  surrounded by a coloured garland and on the other a verse titled 'Thou Noble Bark' agin surrounded by a coloured garland. Floral transfers inside and outside off the rim with charming zig-zag pink lustre infilled make this a very attractive piece.

Circa 1850

Approx - 7.5 inches 9190mm) tall.

In very good condition throughout save a repaired hole in base.
